I hate seeing my friends suffer. I hate seeing anyone suffer.

Any time you start a revolution, even a peaceful one, you have to expect the possibility that the end result won’t be so peaceful. That’s the way of life. Nothing is ever as we suspect.

When you’re Powerless, you have to find other solutions to problems. Solutions that people who have Powers could never even think of because using Powers is the easy answer.

There’s nothing exciting about being ordinary.

I am neither the problem nor the cure. I am simply the voice of the people, the face of their fight. And we’ve reached a tipping point.

People fear what they can’t understand.

Fear can rob us of our common sense and make us blindly follow our leaders, trusting that they have our best intentions at heart.

A man who hides behind The Shield is safe. A man who raises The Shield is the Hero.

We’ve all acted like sheep, blindly following the herd and leaning on our Powers in lieu of knowledge. But knowledge is what could save us.

This battle will not be won with a few of the strong holding against the tide of tyranny, but with fists raised in unity to build an indestructible wall against the tide, forcing it away from our shores.
